Development Partnerships Unit

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships: Design and execute a Partnership Strategy focused on collaborations that directly support the Ministry’s arts, culture, and tourism goals.
Relationship Building: Actively identify, research, and cultivate positive relationships with potential partners in both the public and private sectors within Edo State.
Internal Alignment: Ensure all Ministry staff understand and adhere to the Partnership Strategy, promoting best practices and consistent standards when engaging partners.
Project Facilitation: Collaborate with relevant agencies to facilitate the development and funding of cultural projects.

Preservation & Restoration Unit

Responsibilities

Protect Edo State’s cultural heritage, safeguarding artifacts and artworks.
Document and preserve historic sites and structures throughout the state.
Restore ancestral legacies for the benefit of present and future generations.
Host quarterly Historic Preservation events to educate and engage the public.
Foster a connection between Edo citizens and their rich traditions, customs, beliefs, and shared identities.

Diaspora Liaison Unit

Responsibilities

Develop policies and programs to foster investment and cultural promotion initiatives with the Edo diaspora community.
Manage communications, coordinate efforts, address incidents, and resolve conflicts.
Coordinate activities and communications between individuals, agencies, and organizations on diaspora-related matters.
Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders and the public on diaspora initiatives.
