Monitor and evaluate the State Arts & Culture policies, activities and programmes to ensure their effectiveness
Develop, preserve, protect and promote Arts, Culture and Heritage sites
Coordinate activities with other artistic and creative departments
Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by other staff
Align departments with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
Sets the tone for communication across the Ministry
Plans and carries out events and team-building initiatives for the Ministry
Establish collaboration practices with other related stakeholders
Communicates the Ministry’s culture goals through internal communications, staff meetings, and one-on-ones
Determine how best to represent a concept visually
Develop the overall look or style of a publication, an advertising campaign, or a theater, television, or film set
Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use
Support the design and delivery of a variety of Arts Office targeted community programmes and policy initiatives
Tourism Policies (Unit)
Monitor and evaluate the State Tourism plans and programs to ensure their effectiveness
Undertake research and manage projects
Identify and develop tourism products and services
Develop promotional materials for the ministry
Collect and analyze tourism and market statistics
Undertake tourism and marketing promotional activities
Prepare tourism strategies, marketing plans and monitor budget
Encourage and support tourism development and the industry through networking meetings
Work with the media to raise the profile of the ministry and to generate positive publicity
Develop and review policies for the tourism sub-sector of the Ministry
Identify and develop domestic tourism potentials, opportunities, appraisal mechanisms, systems, plans, strategies, and standards to enhance efficiency and control
Generate value addition in the management of activities within the sub-sector
Diaspora Policies (Unit)
Monitor and evaluate the State Diaspora policies, activities and programmes to ensure their effectiveness
Conduct periodic review of the challenges inhibiting Diaspora contribution to national development with a view to proffering solutions
Identify and develops diaspora tourism potential and opportunities and appraisal mechanisms, systems, plans, strategies, and standards to enhance efficiency
